Looking for a Knowledgeable Bankruptcy Lawyer in Queen Creek, AZ?
Why Choose Me, Tracy Perez, and Charted Course Law?
Because I will personally handle your case from start to finish and know it from front to back.
You will meet with me at your first appointment, and not a non-attorney intake person. The initial consultation appointment is crucial for spotting issues that could negatively impact your case. I’ll be the one to either take your phone calls or promptly return them, to timely respond to your emails, and to meet with you as needed. Your case is too important to me to just hand it off to paralegals. At the 341 Meeting of Creditors, you won’t be stressed out looking for an attorney you’ve never met before or stuck with an attorney who is not familiar with your case. I will be at your side every step of the way.
Because I won’t try to sell you on filing bankruptcy.
My office is a pressure-free zone. I don’t use hard sell tactics like convincing you to sign a fee agreement on the spot. I want you to take all the time you need to make an informed decision. In some situations, bankruptcy is not appropriate or necessary—I will tell you if I think bankruptcy is not right for you and explain other options. You can count on me to give you thorough advice, even if it means that you aren’t going to hire me a result.
Because I will listen to you and treat you with the respect you deserve.
I won’t rush you out the door, cut you off while you’re asking questions, or talk at you instead of having a conversation with you. It’s my job to explain the ins and outs of bankruptcy to you, and there’s no such thing as a dumb question. Egos are off limits in my office and you can count on me to not talk down to you.
Because I don’t shame or judge my clients.
Folks have different attitudes toward filing bankruptcy, but I have yet to meet anyone who actually relishes the experience. The last thing I would do is make you feel worse. I know all too well the twists and turns in life that cause debt problems. Job loss, divorce, addiction, medical expenses, a low salary and high cost of living…the list goes on and on. Filing bankruptcy does not make you a bad person or a burden to society. In fact, bankruptcy drives the economy by enabling people who fall on hard times to move on with their lives, and financially support themselves and their families.
Because I don’t use gimmicks to get your business.
My fees are straightforward—no need to worry about any hidden charges or surprise billing. And you won’t see me referring to myself as “top”, “best”, “#1”, etc. without any data to back it up. I’m committed to transparency because I know it builds a foundation of trust with my clients.
Who I Am
Born in Tucson and raised in Phoenix, I am deeply rooted in Arizona. I earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Arizona State University and a law degree from the University of Arizona, while working a variety of jobs, including doughnut maker, bank teller, caterer, law firm file clerk, and paralegal. I don’t see myself ever moving away from Arizona, but admit to having a soft spot for Ocean Beach, California, and look forward to spending long weekends there on occasion.
I began my career as an attorney in 1991, representing bankruptcy trustees and creditors, but later found my true passion in helping good people burdened with debt get a fresh start. There’s nothing like helping a fellow human get back on their feet. My work with trustees and creditors has given me insight into the “other side”, which comes in handy when advocating for consumer debtors. I’ve also worked in several different consumer debtor law firm environments, which has helped me develop what I consider to be the best experience for my clients.
My relationship with clients is very important to me. I understand that not only do you want an attorney with experience and credentials, but also someone who is compassionate, cares about you, and makes you a priority. I’ve walked in many of the same shoes as my clients and know your struggles. I promise to see who you are as a person, take the time to understand your situation, and do everything I can to help you get through the hard stuff as easily as possible.
I have two grown sons and look forward to coming home to a tail-wagging Labrador retriever named Hudson at the end of a long day. My free time is usually spent outdoors—biking, hiking, and Hudson taking ME on walks.
